OCALA - RV owners protested outside Bosshardt Property Management on Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

Resident Bonnie Norris said when real estate entrepreneur Lincoln J. Hines company purchased the lots, they weren’t paying their dues, and they believe this is what led owners’ dues to double.

“We’re protesting because the bulk buyer doesn’t pay any dues. We started this about a year and a half ago fighting this.” said Norris.

The Norris’ say they’ve lived in the neighborhood in Fort McCoy for three years and say this is especially hard for elderly residents.

“Thinking they’re going to come down there, retire, have a happy life. But when your dues go up and you’re on a fixed income it hinders you.” said Norris.

James Hunt says he’s lived at the RV park for 10 years and it’s drastically changed since 2014.

“The park has just gone downhill under this new management of the Hines and Bosshardt. They’ve just ruined the place and stolen our money.” said Hunt.

Bosshardt Property Management President Garry Griffin provided a statement that explains they’ve ended the management relationship with the RV park after what they call significant efforts to stabilize and revitalize the community.

Griffin also mentions in the statement when they first took over management they were faced with critical situations like no functional budget and serious financial instability which he says has become a common challenge for condominiums across the state.
