OASIS HOA is a nice community – and it could
be even nicer if the association would be run according to
the rules of the community (CC&Rs) and Florida law (FS 720).
But some of the power-grabbers in the community would like
to see business done as it was done for many years:
Decisions made behind closed doors – and rules are only
enforced against the owners these folks don’t like.

This website was created to
inform the members of the OASIS AT PALM AIRE ASSOCIATION, INC. in
Pompano Beach about the actual rules and statutes regulating their
community. The documents shown on the website are so-called public
documents that will help owners to understand what is really
happening in their community.
The contents of this website aims at educating the owners about
their rights and the rules governing the association.
It is of utmost importance for all property owners in this community
to understand what is really going on in Oasis. No more "he said,
she said" -- facts should be on the table. This website tries to
provide the necessary facts that will hopefully help owners to
understand what is going on in their community. You all know the old
saying: "Numbers don't lie!"
Property owners have to understand that the financial welfare of
their families depends on healthy financials of the community.
People seem to forget that their homes are COLLATERAL for any debts
the association occurs. Special assessments that had to be levied
because of bad decisions by boards (f.e. law-suits, lack of
insurance), has cost many families in Florida their homes. Fully
funded reserves are imperative to avoid any special assessments.
DON'T FORGET: The non-payment of a special assessment can lead to
liens and foreclosures.
Past boards have played havoc with the reserve funds of this
community. Please note that according to a summary of the financials
for the years 1997 - 2014 owners paid with their maintenance fees a
total amount of $ 267,570 into the reserve funds. But as of the end
of the financial year of 2014 the actual balance of the reserve
funds was only $ 85,885. For more detailed information please go to
RESERVES.
The information on this website should help owners to be fully
informed about "What's going on in the community!" It helps as well
to attend board meetings and the annual meetings – if
properly conducted.
All owners should make sure that they are always up-to-date with
everything that happens in their community. The financial welfare of
your families depends on it!
