MISSION STATEMENT
-
Make phone calls to all people you know, including
lessees and owners, inviting them to the town hall meeting. Lessees (although
they may not believe it) are also the victims of the abusive behaviors
of "Associations". When an assessment is increased, the owner may pass
on the increase to the lessee.
-
Post flyers and notices on bulletin board
at supermarkets, candy stores, etc. e.i., any place where it would be allowed
to do so, inviting the people to the meeting.
-
Contact local papers (and major newspapers)
to request to publish invitation for the meeting.

Do the same as 3) above with radio and TVs
stations.
When doing the above please request
them to pass the information on to their friends and relatives, and also
request their email address, if any, to keep them informed of current and
future events.
WE ARE ALSO PREPARING FOLDERS (PACKAGES)
INDICATING THE REASONS WHY WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE ASSOCIATIONS, ATTACHING
ALSO SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR OUR CLAIMS.
Yet, we must not rely on the above only.
Experience says, one of the main reasons why Miami is being considered
one the poorest cities in America, is because we have one of the poorest
participation in the communities when our rights are in jeopardy and we
must peacefully complain. Their usual excuses are: "I had to work until
late", "I don't speak English", and "at the ASSOCIATION'S
meeting they want us to speak English", "I DID NOT KNOW THAT
THERE WAS GOING TO BE A MEETING", etc., etc.,
Therefore, we request the fullest cooperation
from ALL INTERESTED PARTIES in order to make the Sep 24 Town Hall
Meeting a really and truly success.
OUR LEGISLATORS
ARE WILLING TO LISTEN TO YOUR PROBLEMS!
LET THEM KNOW
YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED IN CHANGES, SO THEY CAN FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS
IN TALLAHASSEE!

INFORME DE MI MISION |

Hare llamadas por telefono a todas las personas
que conozco, incluyendo inquilinos y duenos de casas y condos, invitandolos
a la reunion del Town Hall. Los inquilinos pueda que no lo crean,
pero tambien son victimas de la forma abusiva que practican las "Asociaciones".
Cuando aumentan los pagos mensuales de mantenimiento, el arrendador puede
pasar el aumento en el alquiler que paga el inquilino.

Pon las hojas volantes y anuncios del meeting
en las carteleras (bulletin board) de los supermercados, tiendas, etc,
es decir, colocalas donde sea permitido, invitando a la gente a la reunion.

Contacte los periodicos locales, y los diarios
de circulacion mayor para pedirle que publiquen publicaciones invitando
la gente a la reunion de town hall que van a hacer nuestros legisladores.

Haga lo mismo con las radios y las estaciones
de television.
Cuando haga lo que se indica arriba, por favor
digale a sus amigos y familiares que lo ayuden a hacer lo mismo, y pidales
la direccion de correo electronico (email) si tienen, a fin de tenerlos
informados de los eventos actuales y futuros.
TAMBIEN ESTAMOS PREPARANDO PAQUETES
DONDE INDICAMOS LAS RAZONES PORQUE NO NOS SENTIMOS CONTENTOS CON LAS ASOCIACIONES,
DONDE TAMBIEN ADJUNTAMOS DOCUMENTOS COMO PRUEBA DE NUESTROS RECLAMOS.
Sin embargo, no debemos de confiarnos en
lo que estamos haciendo ahora solamente. La experiencia nos dice
que una de las principales razones porque a Miami se lo esta considerando
una de las ciudades mas pobres en los Estados Unidos, es poorque tenemos
una de las mas pobres participacion de la gente cuando nuestros derechos
estan en peligros, y cuando pacificamente debemos protestar. Las
excusas mas usuales son: "Tuve que trabajar hasta tarde", "no
hablo Ingles, y en los meetings de la asociacion quieren que hable ingles""No
sabia que iba a haber una reunion", etc., etc.
Por todo lo anterior te pedimos que por
favor des la mayor cooperacion, y pidas a toda la gente que puedas que
vayan a la reunion (Town Hall Meeting) de nuestros legisladores en Septiembre
24. Tu y todos nosotros debemos de hacer esta reunion un verdadero
exito.

ESTAN DESEOSOS DE OIRNOS Y AYUDARNOS CON NUESTROS PROBLEMAS! DIGAMOSLE
QUE TU Y NOSOTROS REALMENTE ESTAMOS INTERESADOS EN QUE HAYA CAMBIOS, DE
MANERA QUE ELLOS PUEDAN LUCHAR POR TUS DERECHOS EN TALLAHASSEE.
AHORA TIENES UNA
BUENA OPORTUNIDAD PARA PARTICIPAR Y CONSEGUIR CAMBIOS.
