Broward County is home to many condominiums’ and homeowners’ associations.  With association living come a lot of issues in regard to health, safety and welfare of the owners.  Many mobile home communities also share the need to be better informed as residents of Broward County.

Newest feature for Broward County’s CCFJ members is an e-mail discussion group at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/BrowardCCFJ/.

CCFJ member Maida Genser lives in a condo in Broward County.  She has set up this website for you to discuss issues that are significant to county residents.

  • What problems are you having with your association?

  •  What help can you provide, if you have handled a similar situation?

  •  What strategies and plans have you devised to live in harmony with your neighbors?

This is YOUR forum and YOU will decide the content.  Join the discussion!

Coming soon….an e-mail inviting you to join the Broward CCFJ Yahoo Groups discussion list.

TO RECYCLE OR NOT?  --  THAT IS THE QUESTION!

You will have a chance to speak to the Pompano Beach Board Of Commissioners about a recycling ordinance.  Please plan to attend the meeting:

SPEAK UP AND BE HEARD!

TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 2005  --  7:00 PM

AT CITY HALL

Here are a few urgent questions about the current recycling ordinance:

  • What storage facilities will be provided?

  • What if a multi-tenant building has no room for containers?

  • How much will it cost to replace dumpsters with smaller recycling bins?

  • How will the issue of metal and cans be handled?

  • How can condo residents recycle paper, glass and plastic IMMEDIATELY, as the recycling ordinance requires?

  • Why was the cash incentive for recycled paper removed?

  • Why was a recycling fee established of up to $1.50 per month.

These questions and more need answers!

Recycling is great – if the approach is right!

Help persuade the Pompano Beach Board Of Commissioners that the residents’ input is absolutely NECESSARY to write an effective ordinance.  With the full cooperation of city residents, the recycling ordinance can be written and plans made to fully comply with all aspects of the ordinance.

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND AND TO ASK QUESTIONS.
