Attorney General Says Woman Can Keep Cat In Condo

On Aug. 7, NBC 6 reported that a Margate condo association had ordered a woman to get rid of her cat that she said she depended on for medical reasons.

A lawyer at the state attorney general's office saw the story and issued a demand letter to the association.

"If Ethel Tark believes Max the cat is a 'medical service animal,' and a doctor agrees, then it's protected by law against 'no pet' rules," the attorney general said
