Tallahassee, March 27, 2003
The Mandated Property Task Force Bill, HB 547, passed the first hurdle in an unanimous favorable vote by the members of the House Committee on Judiciary -- Yeas 17 , Nays 0.
Details see below!
Next on the list is the House Committee on Business Regulations, another large House Committee with 31 members. This will be the next great test in the Florida House of Representatives..

But the fact that so far 14 House members co-sponsored the bill looks pretty promising. Hopefully some more members of the House will be inclined to put their name on the list of co-sponsors.
A strong showing of this bill in the House may help the cause of this consumer friendly bill.

I would like to thank all the members of the House Committee on Judiciary for their favorable vote on our bill. Hopefully the next committee will see our bill in the same favorable light!

SB 1248 passed the Senate Committee on Comprehensive Planning today with a 7-0 vote. More details when they become available.
