PLEASE ADD H 1397 TO THE AGENDA OF THE Full
Appropriations Council on General Government & Health Care Owners in community associations are hard hit by the bad economy and the even worse real-estate market. Associations go bankrupt, families are losing their homes. In the last two weeks we have already seen two sad examples of associations unable to pay their bills: FORECLOSURES AND UNPAID FEES: Lack
of water forces residents to leave their homes CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN ASSOCIATIONS INCREASES: $ 1 MILLION EMBEZZLEMENT -- AND NOTHING HAPPENS!
Enacting H 1397 and the proposed amendments is really important for the welfare of many families. The bill is the work of two years of Select Committee hearings, town hall meetings and surveys! The provisions of the bill address many of the problems we are seeing daily in our associations. By voting for this bill you are helping many of your constituents!
