CHARLOTTE COUNTY -- A Deep Creek community association has indefinitely suspended its manager, in part because of his involvement with a faulty board election.

On Wednesday, new board members of the Section 20 Property Owners Association voted to suspend Manager Lee Dunn with pay.

"We're just awaiting advice from our counsel as to what we're going to do from here," said Kim Jakubaitis, the board's new president.

Last week a state arbitrator overturned the results of a December board election, ruling the votes had been tallied in "bad faith." The arbitrator wrote that the association had improperly invalidated hundreds of votes for Jakubaitis, Mike Brown and Michael Della Camera.

In her order, the arbitrator wrote several times that Dunn was involved in the vote tally.

Dunn declined to comment Friday.
