"It's really unfair," said Catherine Bancroft. The owner of the Southern Comfort Mobile Home Park sent letters out telling them that the park is closing down, and something else will go up there. "The park is expecting us to pay rent still, and save money to move into a new home," Bancroft said. "That's not enough time." Most of the families at the park are low-income. And even though they own their mobile homes, they'll have to leave them here. The homes are either too old or too expensive to move. People Like Bancroft saved up to buy their homes. "The stress this is causing is too much," said Kreshae Humphrey.

Humphrey has lived at the park for two years. She and her husband have two kids and a third one on the way.

"I've already been to the hospital multiple times. It got us off guard," she said.

They all plan to fight the owner's decision. Some of them are talking to lawyers. But according to the law, the owner is well within his rights. Unfortunately, they don't have a homeowners association, because if they did the owner is required to give the HOA 45 days to make an offer to buy the property.

"Nobody deserves this in this community," said Bancroft.
