PLEASE VOTE NO ON H319 AT MEETING OF COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY

Dear Members of the Committee on Judiciary:

House Bill 319, the community association bill sponsored by Representative Moraitis, is scheduled to be heard at the next meeting of your committee. H 319 has been amended by special interests, such as the banking industry, to the point that the homeowners and unit owners throughout Florida will once again be bailing out the banks from fees and assessments the banks should be obligated to pay.

In reality H319 has turned into another bail-out bill for the banking industry to the detriment of your constituents and about 4 million owners of property located within Florida's community associations. Many of the associations -- meaning the still paying owners -- have been hard hit by having to pay the maintenance increases and special assessments caused by unpaid monthly dues and/or foreclosures. This bill, if enacted, will put an even heavier financial burden on your constituents.

Please make sure that you VOTE NO on H319 when the bill will be heard at the  meeting of the Judiciary Committee. Your constituents just can't afford this bill!
