INTRODUCTION
Hi! My name is Carl Persis. I am the Mayor of Ormond Beach, (pop. 37,000) and the Principal of Tomoka Elementary School, (enrollment 1000). I am serving in my third year as mayor and served for four years as a city commissioner. I am also proud of my twenty-five year career as an educator and eighteen years as a principal.

With my background in municipal government and in education, I am prepared to hit the ground running in Tallahassee. My moderate views and consensus building approach has made me a popular principal and mayor. I will continue to put partisan politics aside and vote impartially and thoughtfully.

Do you favor curtailing and/or eliminating the ability of homeowners associations to foreclose on homestead exempted property? X
