FLORIDA NEEDS A NEW ADVOCATE FOR OWNER-FRIENDLY LAWS

An Opinion by Jan Bergemann

Many of you will still remember State Representative Julio Robaina, who in the years 2002 – 2010 enacted more owner-friendly community association bills than any other legislator in Florida’s history. Then Senator Alan Hays helped Florida’s homeowners with some good bills. But since then our efforts in advancing owner-friendly laws in Tallahassee stalled and we made very little progress. In all reality some of the bills that passed rather contained provisions that did more damage than good.

WE NEED A NEW STRONG ADVOCATE IN TALLAHASSEE!

In House District 91 we have the opportunity to support a strong young candidate who has written on his campaign banner:

  • Homeowner/Condo Association Transparency. Bringing Rights back to Homeowners

  • Protect Senior Citizens from Senior Abuse & Senior Bullying

  • Reform the Florida's Department of Elder Affairs

  • Protect our Jewish Communities from increased Anti-Semitism Acts of Terror

THESE GOALS DEFINITELY DESERVE OUR SUPPORT!

Florida House District 91 includes parts of Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach. This District was in the past represented by Emily Slosberg, daughter of Irving Slosberg, who was for many years a member of the Florida Legislature without doing anything really positive for his constituents. Even his fellow Democrats finally realized his uselessness in last week’s primary. He got beaten badly by his opponent for the State Senate District 29.

Now it’s time for us to replace his daughter with a strong proponent of our interests. Let’s support and elect:

SAYD HUSSAIN FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 91

Please watch the video and listen to the plans of Sayd Hussain once he is elected to represent the constituents in District 91:

Then go to his website and pledge your support – campaign donations are very welcome in order to help him promote his – and our – cause:
