Day
by day I receive telephone calls and e-mails from angry condo owners who are
complaining about the problems with the Division and the DBPR Section dealing
with the regulation of community association managers.
I
can understand your frustration, and I agree that this has to change.

to the announcement, Secretary Drago has been charged with promoting less
intrusive, more effective government. I'm
wondering how less intrusive the Department can get? Condo owners
have to get outright pushy to even get a response to their complaints -- and
all in all nothing really ever is resolved! More
effective would be
great. Suggestion No. 1: Stop writing ten letters explaining why the Division
shouldn't get involved or do anything. Write one factual letter and take the
necessary action! PERIOD! And
while you're at it: Let the Secretary know that you are tax-paying citizens of
the State of So,
go to the meeting and let Secretary Drago know what's wrong with his
Department! He

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is taking its business directly to customers; Secretary Charles W. Drago will be in Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesday, Nov. 5, to meet with licensees and consumers in the area.
“On the Road to Better Business” is designed to bridge the communications gap and bring a piece of government right to the people it serves.
As directed by Governor Crist through “Accelerate Florida: Extending Florida's Economic Horizons,” Secretary Drago has been charged with promoting less intrusive, more effective government.
Licensees and citizens are encouraged to schedule a meeting with the Secretary between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, by e-mailing [email protected] with the time they would like to meet and their contact information. Meetings will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins are welcome. |
