SB 602

F.S. 617 – NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

The following changes relating to condominium, homeowner and co-operative associations operating as not-for profit corporations under F.S.617, will be in effect:
 

F.S.617.0725 (Quorum and Amendments)
This provision relating to quorum and amendment threshold amendment restrictions contained in F.S. 617, are not applicable to Florida Statutes, Chapter 718 , (condominiums), 719 (cooperatives), 720 (homeowner associations), 721 (timeshares) or 723 (mobile homes).
 

F.S. 617.1703(1)(a) (Application to Community Associations)
This provision states that the applicable statutes relating to community associations must be followed and will prevail over F.S. Chapters 617.
