A former Aventura condo board president has been found guilty on federal conspiracy and wire fraud charges.

Widely circulated video from 2024 showed Gregori Arzumanov being led out of the Turnberry on the Green condominium lobby in handcuffs.

Miami-Dade prosecutors accused him of embezzling more than $1.5 million from the condo association. The 64-year-old has pleaded not guilty in that case.

Last year, while out on bond, he was arrested again. This time, a federal indictment accused Arzumanov and another individual of conspiring to “fraudulently” transfer condo association money “for their own use and benefit.”

Arzumanov’s defense attorneys argued the transfer of funds was for a “legitimate investment intended to benefit” the association, “rather than to cause financial loss.”

But on Wednesday, a federal jury found Arzumanov guilty on all counts.

He’s being held at the Federal Detention Center in Miami, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ website.

A sentencing hearing is set for August. The state case against Arzumanov is pending.
